A Statement.

Selfie sheet.jpg

I define myself as a 3D artist as much of my work is expressed through sculpture and installation, which initially form from other mediums such as painting and drawing. It has developed a focus on repetition and form, expanding from my choice of materials and subject matter, through to using multiple pieces which form a collective and immersive experience. The majority of my practice is tonal or colourless, and has been expanded to include metallic or reflective finishes which influence the space and lighting it is staged within.

Contextually, the work has grown to express thoughts around biology and how the fabric of the universe is atomically constructed at a microscopic level. In addition, this broadens to include space-time and black hole theory, with a general focus on interconnected circles being the foundations of our world. There is also focus on biological observations such as brain activity, thought patterns, physical feeling, and awareness of our body as and inside a space or vessel, to inspire certain shapes, marks, or multiples of the work, which can be understood as a visual diary of bodily interpretations.
